NeighborWorks® Western Pennsylvania offers free one-on-one budget and credit counseling, during which clients meet with a counselor to establish a budget, create an action plan, improve credit history and learn how to take control of their financial life. Counselors also help first-time homebuyers prepare for homeownership by providing information about what types of loans are available, what an affordable payment each client is, and reviewing documents prior to closing.
